Wayne Mulder

Happy Thanksgiving. I hope you and your family are having a wonderful day. If you're listening to this on the day of release, then it is Thanksgiving Day. But if you're not, I hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving as well. This week, I am sitting down with a guest, Adam Haidary This was a great conversation. The three things that you're going to learn from this podcast was what it was like transitioning from a cat to a business owner.

00:00:59:19 - 00:01:37:09

Wayne Mulder

The best training course Adam felt he ever got to attend while in law enforcement. And what the one thing it took to create a large social media following around reviewing body cam footage. I think you're going to enjoy this conversation. Adam Haidary, he's got quite a following on police post on Instagram and he is the owner of effective fitness training in some offshoots of that that are working in the law enforcement physical fitness space, as well as I would say as I would say, it also would be in the mental space as well, because mindset has a large, a big part to do with what he's doing.

00:01:37:17 - 00:01:55:08

Wayne Mulder

I really enjoyed sitting down with Adam. You could tell that he's the kind of guy that gets things done, has a vision, and he's executing that vision, and I think you're going to really enjoy the way that he tells his story. So without taking any more time, here's this week's guest, Adam Haidary.

00:01:42:13 - 00:01:43:24

Wayne Mulder

Well, Adam, welcome to the podcast.

00:01:44:13 - 00:01:45:18

Adam Haidary

Thank you, sir. I appreciate it.

00:01:45:24 - 00:01:59:11

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, this is awesome. I'm glad we can sit down and have a little conversation and I'm glad you reached out. Of course. Let me start, as I always do. These are the easy softball questions, if I may. Is it coffee? Is it coffee or tea, sir?

00:02:00:09 - 00:02:00:21

Adam Haidary

Tea.

00:02:01:10 - 00:02:10:09

Wayne Mulder

Really? Now, I'm assuming, especially since we're going to talk about fitness today, we're not talking sweet tea, is it hot tea or what country are we talking here?

00:02:10:19 - 00:02:34:00

Adam Haidary

Probably hot tea. I do drink coffee. It's it's it's very rare. I drink a lot of coffee as a cup. And the doctor basically was, you know, ask me just my overall habits. And then I told you I was drinking like five cups a day. He's like, You probably stop. I was like, Yeah, okay. Well, here, like, he's like, you know, 300 milligrams is about the threshold per day.

00:02:34:00 - 00:02:35:09

Adam Haidary

You're doing about 1200.

00:02:35:09 - 00:02:39:11

Wayne Mulder

So did you mention you were a high achiever at any point?

00:02:40:00 - 00:02:51:02

Adam Haidary

Yeah, right. Like like I don't like to quit anything, so. Right. You know, but yeah, no, it's it's usually high tea. I actually try to stay away from caffeine as much as possible, believe it or not.

00:02:51:07 - 00:02:56:13

Wayne Mulder

Very good. Now, do you have a favorite place to have that drink? Like a place that's peaceful brings comfort.

00:02:57:21 - 00:03:01:14

Adam Haidary

To kids, makes it tough. Probably my garage.

00:03:03:03 - 00:03:04:05

Wayne Mulder

A moment of respite.

00:03:04:12 - 00:03:12:17

Adam Haidary

Yeah. Yeah, it's. It's kind of like my second office. It's. I have my gym, I have some mats in there, so it's. It's a place I spend probably half of my day. Believe it or not.

00:03:13:02 - 00:03:13:24

Wayne Mulder

I believe it.

00:03:14:07 - 00:03:14:14

Adam Haidary

Yeah.

00:03:14:22 - 00:03:16:17

Wayne Mulder

Do you have a best or worst travel story?

00:03:16:24 - 00:03:35:02

Adam Haidary

The wife and I used to travel a lot out west and do a lot of hiking. She was a she was a travel nurse. Go figure. And we used to go out west a lot and travel. We used to like these like ten day hiking trips. It was it was this was all pre kids. And maybe it was it was great.

00:03:35:05 - 00:03:56:22

Adam Haidary

I definitely recommend people go out and check out places like National Parks, like Zion and Arches in Glacier. And we spent some time in Banff, which is up in Canada, which is absolutely it. It doesn't look real on pictures. Right. But it's definitely Maine definitely does some good for the soul, for sure. So I'd say those are the best the best travels I've had.

00:03:57:09 - 00:04:02:16

Wayne Mulder

What is that place that brings you the most peace, your favorite spot to just kind of stop, breathe and enjoy life?

00:04:03:01 - 00:04:10:09

Adam Haidary

Probably the opposite is is probably the jujitsu match man, where people try to stop you from breathing.

00:04:12:01 - 00:04:15:24

Wayne Mulder

You're not the first person to say that with. Yeah, which I always find interesting.

00:04:16:08 - 00:04:37:20

Adam Haidary

Man. I can't tell you what that does to the body and the mind after it's a it's a really good, good. Even if it's the worst day of the match you ever had, it's still a good day on the mat. Like, you know, even if you're not, you know, you kind of plateauing or you're not feeling like you're you're on time like you should be, you know, like your movements are too slow.

00:04:37:20 - 00:04:47:19

Adam Haidary

After that, you feel you feel better even. That's probably my that's probably my church and love it had to make it a place. Yeah.

00:04:47:19 - 00:05:00:02

Wayne Mulder

So let's get started a little bit with your origin story. You were in law enforcement. What what brought you to law enforcement and what were you doing kind of before you went into law enforcement? Then what did you do when you went in and where were you working?

00:05:00:14 - 00:05:26:06

Adam Haidary

Yeah. So college is where I kind of you know, obviously I went high school, played sports, went to college, smaller, small university here in South Carolina and wanted to go into the medical field. I really wanted I really liked the anesthesia route, whether it be a CRNA or even an M.D. And then I quickly realized that I'm not that smart.

00:05:27:06 - 00:05:39:22

Adam Haidary

And then so I decided to. But I've always wanted to help and I've always wanted to do something like I always want to serve other people in some type of way besides the food and beverage industry.

00:05:40:08 - 00:05:42:06

Wayne Mulder

And so that is a way to do it, though.

00:05:42:09 - 00:06:09:06

Adam Haidary

That is a way to actually serve the public. But quite literally, it wasn't my wasn't my forte. And so one of my best friends, both his parents were were cops and obviously kind of being around them, his dad was on the was a team leader on a SWAT team. And so I got to go kind of he was very open about kind of bring us in, let us watch or even us letting us partake in certain scenarios and stuff like that, which is really cool.

00:06:09:06 - 00:06:33:19

Adam Haidary

In college that I ended up interning for an agency here in South Carolina for about a year, my my senior year. But in the meantime, I was working for my dad. I was he owned a industrial commercial floor cleaning equipment company for like 30 years. And I basically did all that basically growing up. And so I was doing that part time.

00:06:33:19 - 00:06:53:09

Adam Haidary

Then I, you know, once I graduated college, I started to apply to, I think four different agencies or three different agencies. And then I was I got basically got picked up and then had a whole process of interviews and background checks and all that stuff. And then I became a police officer at 24 years old. Leave Very young.

00:06:53:19 - 00:07:11:10

Adam Haidary

Yeah, very young. Almost too young sometimes, I think. And then of course, did the whole, you know, went to the academy for 12 weeks here in South Carolina. So every cop goes to the same academy. So every class, one police officer, no matter who you work for, goes to the same police academy. So you're only.

00:07:11:10 - 00:07:13:11

Wayne Mulder

I do they measured in hours or do they only.

00:07:13:11 - 00:07:32:07

Adam Haidary

Get his hours? I don't remember. I don't know. 12 weeks and archive is a little different. So you stay on campus. So it's like it's it's almost like a hotel. So you, you go there Sunday night and then you don't leave till Friday afternoon. And then every Friday there's a test. I think up till like week ten. And if you fail that test, you go home.

00:07:32:16 - 00:08:04:09

Adam Haidary

Wow. So it's, it's it's it's not hard. It is kind of stressful because like, you really, you know, the food is terrible. The coffee's even worse. You know, it's just, you know, information through a firehose. They expect you to then take a test. Again, it wasn't difficult. Some people did fail. But and then after that, obviously, you graduate the police academy, which gives you your class one certification and then you go to your agency and obviously do whatever training you're after, specialized training, whatever, and then you go to work.

00:08:04:17 - 00:08:05:06

Adam Haidary

Yeah, right.

00:08:05:21 - 00:08:08:04

Wayne Mulder

And then they had a sheriff's department.

00:08:08:04 - 00:08:10:16

Adam Haidary

It was with this, it was with the state agency o state.

00:08:10:19 - 00:08:11:04

Wayne Mulder

Carolina.

00:08:11:21 - 00:08:43:11

Adam Haidary

Yeah, I was not a trooper. So in South Carolina we have like seven, seven or a branch of the state police. And so I was assigned to Charleston County. And so from there I was assigned to work with the county and the city and stuff like that, work in specialized things, but also doing patrol work. So it was very I got a lot of experience in five years and then so five years on patrol, I ended up getting transferred to the training unit full time.

00:08:43:11 - 00:09:12:18

Adam Haidary

So I only spent five years and got promoted. Air quotes to full time training sergeant. And that was very eye opening for me, especially because I was also very young. I was like maybe 29 years old, 28, 29 years old. And I got a lot of exposure into budgets and meeting rooms and things like that where on the patrol side you're not really you know, I don't want to say privileged information, but it's just not part of your job.

00:09:13:00 - 00:09:38:07

Adam Haidary

Right. And it really got the mind kind of going. But prior to that, I was attending a lot of training on my own medical training, firearms training, jujitsu, things like that I was doing prior to being promoted into the training. Now it's not like I was promoted because I was some like amazing person at training is because nobody else really wanted the job that you and I put in for it.

00:09:39:13 - 00:09:55:00

Adam Haidary

And, you know, that was something I took a lot of pride in because sometimes it can be a very cushy position. It's like, Oh, well, it's just training. You go to in-service, you teach in service, you do this, do that, you get all these instructor certs and all this stuff and you just kind of ride it out till you retire.

00:09:55:00 - 00:10:19:05

Adam Haidary

Yeah, I was young and I was all about implementing new training and going into trains and stuff like that. So, you know, bringing that fresh, fresh kind of look well and kind of in that meantime, you know, I left with about seven years in it was due to a little bit of the change of command staff had a little bit of had some issues with some of the command, not all of them.

00:10:19:05 - 00:10:41:19

Adam Haidary

Some of them are amazing humans and great cops, but some of them are should not be in this profession by any means whatsoever. And so then I decided to devote my time to effective fitness training and develop that as I wanted to get back into as well. You know, let me see where this goes. It just starts to take off and then this will be it.

00:10:41:19 - 00:10:57:05

Adam Haidary

If not, then I'll go back into law enforcement career certifications. You can just transfer power ever. And then fast forward three years and here we are, right? Wow. So yeah, very exciting. A lot has changed in in in about three, three and a half years.

00:10:57:13 - 00:11:00:11

Wayne Mulder

The whole world has changed in the last three, three and a half. Yeah.

00:11:00:11 - 00:11:05:00

Adam Haidary

So I got out like right before George Floyd. Oh, really? Like weeks.

00:11:05:09 - 00:11:09:24

Wayne Mulder

All right. So, yeah, so you got to watch from the outside as the world like I did.

00:11:09:24 - 00:11:31:04

Adam Haidary

I had my friends come by my house with their beat up cinder block abuse patrol vehicles asking for gear. One of my best friends is is an active canine sergeant here. And it's like, hey, man, you got to ask about that. You got extra help. I'm like, Yeah, dude, please take whatever you want, take all my shit. And he was like, Yeah, yeah.

00:11:31:05 - 00:11:43:09

Adam Haidary

He was a, you know, I mean, it was it wasn't bad out here for very long. You know, luckily in in this county, we don't we don't really play that game. You start to destroy shit, you get locked up real fast.

00:11:43:13 - 00:11:57:06

Wayne Mulder

So I'm very fortunate. It's been a that's been my reality as well. So when I talk to people from other parts of the country who are in some of these city centers, and I hear their horror stories, my heart goes out to them, but I can completely relate with it because I've been very fortunate.

00:11:57:15 - 00:12:01:20

Adam Haidary

Right. Same it's been. Yeah, it's been interesting.

00:12:01:23 - 00:12:23:18

Wayne Mulder

Something you had talked about I think I had heard you talking about in another podcast was just even like getting torn tickets for the guys. And I found that completely shocking to me. I'm very fortunate to be at a very forward thinking agency, and I've only ever worked under one sheriff because he's been very popular. And so as long as he wants the job, then I'll have the job.

00:12:24:03 - 00:12:42:09

Wayne Mulder

And he's very forward thinking and we have a lot of military training and stuff that's come into the agency over the years. And so when I hear these things like tourniquets or Narcan or you know that a lot of officers don't even have out there or they have to go out and buy their own, I definitely feel for them because we've essentially always had them.

00:12:42:19 - 00:12:47:12

Wayne Mulder

Was that the kind of headaches you were having as a training sergeant was getting some of the equipment that you needed?

00:12:48:00 - 00:13:15:12

Adam Haidary

Correct? Yeah. So we didn't even have a TAC med program or even like a patrol program as all as it pertained to medical training. It was just your basic CPR, IED first aid type stuff I was fortunate enough to be able to send myself to. I actually went up to North American Rescue, which is here in South Carolina and I was able to attend their their teacher C course here.

00:13:15:12 - 00:13:32:19

Adam Haidary

And it was absolutely the best. I've been through a few of the courses, medical classes, and that was by far the best one. So that was just my little taste into the medical kind of training world. And I saw it was like, man, this is stuff we need to know. Like we don't we're not issued this equipment, anything like that.

00:13:32:19 - 00:13:53:13

Adam Haidary

Like we're not trained on this. And so then when I became a training sergeant, one of my first implementations was a TAC med program, and I became a Stop the Bleed instructor I went up to. They actually flew me out. One of my captains was super progressive and he basically told me, Go train wherever you want to train, you know, bring some knowledge back.

00:13:53:13 - 00:14:23:19

Adam Haidary

So I, I spent a week with Tulsa PD, Tulsa SWAT team in, in Oklahoma, and their medics and their training course is absolutely is absolutely beyond words. Those do do work. And so it was really good to see how they implement things and how they even, you know, implement gear into the patrol side. And so I brought all that back, got quotes for effects and tourniquets and all that stuff and got a little pushback on the pricing.

00:14:24:18 - 00:14:43:21

Adam Haidary

You know, and that's kind of where I don't see like why why is it such a big deal? It's literally $20 for a lifesaving device that could last you know, could last three years. They don't use it or whatever the expiration is. So it's not sudden. They have to replace every three months unless they use it. Right. So and so, you know, can up, can push back, push back.

00:14:43:21 - 00:15:06:21

Adam Haidary

And of course, I found loopholes around that where I can only spend some so much money per month. And so I just started buying in, in kind of lots like by 250 out of time per month. I was able to then implement that into in-service training and then now they do it since I've left. Now they do it every in-service, if not multiple times, which is which is absolutely I'll say.

00:15:06:21 - 00:15:11:02

Adam Haidary

So that was the first headache that I've had to deal with. There's obviously many more, but I was raised one.

00:15:11:20 - 00:15:22:07

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, that seems like there always is. I've personally seen someone's life philosophies. Life gets saved with Turn a kid on a scene. So definitely a strong proponent of what those can do.

00:15:22:15 - 00:15:45:15

Adam Haidary

Absolutely. Yeah. And we had I believe right after we implemented it, we had two saves within months. One was an officer involved shooting. The officer was fine. It was the suspect's life. He saved contact, shot of the bicep. And then the other one was and actually was like a public worker got ran over by like a dump truck or something.

00:15:45:15 - 00:16:03:24

Adam Haidary

His leg did and got clearly mangled. And it was a lieutenant that got out and saved the say, the individual's life. And he he called me and my buddy. He was in the shooting. He justified shooting all this stuff. He's back at work and he called me and just said, trying to get to work. And he just hung up the phone.

00:16:04:20 - 00:16:21:09

Adam Haidary

So I met. I'll talk to you later a little bit. Yeah. No, I mean, you know, I mean, it just goes to show you like you mean you think about, okay, well, that was two in like six months of each other. What what, you know, could have happened if we had these five years ago. Yeah, right. Like, absolutely, I should think.

00:16:21:24 - 00:16:46:01

Wayne Mulder

Well, and not to get political, but that's kind of the irony or the interesting side of this whole defund the police is it literally should be the opposite because we have we don't have the funds that a lot of these agencies for the equipment. It's not, again, very blessed. It's not standard for like detective sergeants to have shields and entry tools.

00:16:46:14 - 00:17:06:18

Wayne Mulder

Some places have that. But look at the number of places that don't have these basic items that you need in law enforcement. And then look at not only that, but then when we look at attrition and all these other issues and training, these are all comes back to money and defund defund the police decides the political side that we could talk about forever.

00:17:07:18 - 00:17:12:05

Wayne Mulder

Just the statement makes zero sense because it literally should be the opposite. You have to fund these.

00:17:12:05 - 00:17:21:22

Adam Haidary

Programs, right? I mean, does it mean you want better anything, got better food, you want a better car, better clothes, better gear? Cost money. Cost more money?

00:17:23:10 - 00:17:46:13

Wayne Mulder

Yes. Right. What were you seeing from a national perspective? And where I'm going with this is you ended up starting an Instagram page or you ended up involved in an Instagram page. I don't know that you started it, but police post. Correct. So can you kind of take me into that evolution because I'm assuming some of the things you were seeing and what we've touched on as a sergeant in training kind of led to what you're doing with police post.

00:17:46:23 - 00:18:10:23

Adam Haidary

Right? So yeah, correct. I did not start police post. I was asked to help with it. A buddy of mine who is I believe he was in the academy. I didn't actually meet him in the academy. We met at the academy. Just work for a different agency within the state police and super good guys. He's still an active cop, but he basically had a had a bunch of kids and that took took a lot of time away from him.

00:18:11:04 - 00:18:34:18

Adam Haidary

It does that. So right. And so I was able to at the time, I had no kids. I didn't I didn't have a girlfriend. So I was able to focus on the page. And at the time it was just posting like pictures of cops doing cop things like standing by their car and, you know, just like your typical kind of fanpage with a little bit of like political stuff in there, which I'm not a huge fan of.

00:18:34:18 - 00:18:54:09

Adam Haidary

But anyways, when I kind of took it over, I saw something or it was something I did at work. As a matter of fact, I a guy was I usually I usually just talks. This is the one that I truly remember as is a it kind of being. The reason why I made the first post was a guy was passed out drunk at a green light and I was behind him and I was like, Why is this guy going?

00:18:54:09 - 00:19:14:13

Adam Haidary

You know, it's a great place to be going. And of course, I said, of course, I turn the lights on, get out a car. And he's just like a head back, foot on the brake car and drive super nice Mercedes golf clubs in the back. So I assumed that he had, you know, just left the golf course and I walked in front of the car to get around to the driver's side in front of the car.

00:19:14:13 - 00:19:37:23

Adam Haidary

And, you know, luckily he was still asleep, ended up getting him out, all that stuff. And when I got back to kind of debrief myself, I was like, That's pretty fucking dumb. I was pretty stupid, man. Like, where this what if you scared this guy at a green light? He just Florida and I, you know, I'd be got smashed by, you know, $100,000 Mercedes, you know.

00:19:37:23 - 00:20:03:02

Adam Haidary

And again and I was very young, maybe like right maybe a year out of F2. So like still not really sure what was going on. Right. So then I just had a similar video and at that time on Instagram, you can only post like 15/2 clips. So I found a very similar video. I just this was when I was again, I was in my mid-twenties and so yeah, and then I just posted it and that's when it kind of took off.

00:20:03:02 - 00:20:21:01

Adam Haidary

And I'm like, Man, this is kind of cool. So then I started posting more and more turning points was very obvious things. Nothing super technical, nothing super like. Yeah, there's no secrets really. Just, you know, hey, guys, like, you know, whenever you're conducting stops, like don't rush the vehicle after a pursuit, you know? Have I done that? Yeah.

00:20:21:05 - 00:20:21:14

Adam Haidary

It's pretty.

00:20:21:15 - 00:20:23:16

Wayne Mulder

Cool. Have. But don't do it right.

00:20:23:24 - 00:20:26:04

Adam Haidary

It was pretty dumb. Don't do that. Right.

00:20:26:10 - 00:20:29:09

Wayne Mulder

You're up here, you know, so yeah.

00:20:29:13 - 00:21:05:02

Adam Haidary

And so, you know, fast forward and you know, obviously with technology going, you know, body cams, footage more readily available, cameras absolutely everywhere. iPhones, everybody's got a friggin body camera out here. Right. And, you know, since then, it was a lot easier to find content to then make it beneficial. And that was kind of always the thing was not to Monday morning quarterback anybody was to point out points to where I never thought about this you know, you think like, oh, I never thought about this point or that's a really good point.

00:21:05:02 - 00:21:16:21

Adam Haidary

We should discuss this. Yeah. And then the crazy part really started happening is when officers from the incidents I would post would reach out. And that happens a lot.

00:21:17:02 - 00:21:25:23

Wayne Mulder

When they reach out, is it more like, Hey, man, I screwed up and you got a good point or are you getting a little bit of kickback where they're like, Man, y you put me on blast.

00:21:26:15 - 00:21:52:14

Adam Haidary

I have never once gotten kickback, which is super incredible. Never once in the history of the I get about 100 DMS a day, 150 a day and I have not once from any officer that's been involved say hey man, well you were there and it's they've actually been able to provide more information about the incident that I was able to then either go back and edit the post or if they have information about a statistic.

00:21:52:14 - 00:22:08:08

Adam Haidary

Because sometimes, I mean, I had a guy reason to say, hey, you know, I was just involved in the shooting. Can you please can you please go through it, let me know. And I'm like, absolutely. You know, I could do my best. And that happens a lot. I mean, can you review my footage? Can you review my footage?

00:22:08:08 - 00:22:23:10

Adam Haidary

And, you know, some of the stuff sticks out. Some of the stuff it's like and the guys are great. I don't know what else to I mean, of course you can always do things better, right? But we all get like but I was like, do man, you know, your commands were great, your cover was great. You know, good shots on target.

00:22:23:10 - 00:22:43:04

Adam Haidary

You know, you shot four times. You had three hits like, you know, sounds sounds good to me. I mean, you know, as long as you're good, you know, yeah, that's kind of a kind of a cool it's a good thing about the community because, again, we do get well, we get a lot of trash jams as well.

00:22:43:04 - 00:22:48:18

Wayne Mulder

But I was going to ask about that, how it is sometimes perceived from the other side of the house or the public.

00:22:49:02 - 00:22:54:18

Adam Haidary

Yeah. So I didn't show my identity for a very long time for for probably almost seven years.

00:22:54:18 - 00:22:55:20

Wayne Mulder

Which is smart by the way.

00:22:55:24 - 00:23:21:09

Adam Haidary

From yeah. It right and it's not that it was because like it was like an agency policy thing, it was because I mean because even now still like I'm very I'm still very kind of a private person. Like, I don't post pictures of, of, of my kids. I don't really discuss, like, where exactly I live or, you know, things like that because, yes, I've I've gotten I've gotten plenty of death threats as well as dick pics.

00:23:21:09 - 00:23:22:00

Adam Haidary

Unfortunately.

00:23:22:23 - 00:23:23:17

Wayne Mulder

It's Instagram.

00:23:24:01 - 00:23:45:09

Adam Haidary

It's Instagram. And I'm like, man, and sometimes I can be like, Bro, slightly disappointed, but here we are, right? You know, but you know, with that I've I've had the opportunity to also meet a lot of amazing people and able to network and which has allowed me to then basically grow, grow my two companies, which is which is amazing.

00:23:46:01 - 00:24:03:03

Wayne Mulder

It's awesome. Oh, one of the things you point out I want to touch on real quick and then I want to talk about your companies. Sure. It's this idea and I love what you're saying, that the officers that you've heard from have all been positive feedback and some of them even reaching out and saying, hey, can you look this over and give me ideas?

00:24:03:03 - 00:24:32:03

Wayne Mulder

And you said something about yourself that I think is an important point, is that you used to personally debrief after an incident, just your own self. Hey, how did I do? What have I done better? That kind of thing. And I think that's lacking with some people. I think, and I say this a lot for front line supervisors as front line supervisors, especially your core present sergeants at a minimum, obviously above them, they should almost force it after any type of incident that multiple people are involved in.

00:24:32:03 - 00:24:35:00

Wayne Mulder

And I love the idea of a self debrief. Can you go a little bit further into that?

00:24:35:12 - 00:25:04:19

Adam Haidary

Yeah. So that so the whole like self-assessment process for me has been huge. And not only do I do it like just when I was a cop, I do it now, today, right now, every single day. So the hardest part was knowing how to do it, right, because if you don't know certain things, you don't know, right? So being able to reach out to more experienced individuals, you know, I mean, just like I tell people on this page, like something that I get comments like, Oh, you're Mr. all knowing.

00:25:04:19 - 00:25:28:17

Adam Haidary

No, I know I have a massive team and I think people really misunderstand and every single person's experience is limited. So your ability to debrief yourself is going to be either based on your personal experience or what you personally know, right? So if you personally don't know a whole lot, then the debrief is going to probably be, you know, pretty borderline, just subpar.

00:25:28:17 - 00:25:55:04

Adam Haidary

Right. But in your experience is also limited while your experiences obviously the best teacher. And if it's I mean. Well, again, it's going to be just baseline subpar, right? So reaching out and knowing how to take a take that 30 to 40000 for view of the incident is took me quite some time to understand, but I was able to I have a lot of good mentors.

00:25:56:11 - 00:26:14:10

Adam Haidary

Again, I keep talking about my captain and even my lieutenant where we're both GM up dudes, great cops, very knowledgeable about tactics, very progressive. Like they were like, I don't know you're talking about can you please explain this to me? Right. Because, you know, if they've been in office for 15 years, they don't fucking know that, you know, like the latest and greatest and that's okay.

00:26:14:11 - 00:26:32:02

Adam Haidary

And they understand that. So but they were also kind of in my shoes where, you know, they evolved from the 38 to the 40, right? So them going like, hey, well, we had to learn these things and we had to tell our command staff like, hey, we had to get better training and this is how we debrief certain incidents now.

00:26:32:02 - 00:27:14:10

Adam Haidary

So long story short, being able to reach out to others is, is a huge factor in knowing that that person is the right person is also kind of very difficult. So, you know, I try to I keep my circle small, so I heavily rely on my captain and a few other senior patrol officers to kind of help me with those situations based off of what I knew about them and their prior experience, like in law enforcement, cause some of them had a lot of military experience too, and that was kind of useful, like kind of mindset wise, I guess, because and like kind of leadership wise too, because leadership there is is a lot more

00:27:14:10 - 00:27:24:08

Adam Haidary

structured than in law enforcement. I mean, you know, you can basically tell whoever to fuck off and then, yeah, you make sure enough that's not it. Like you're not going to get fired for it. But in the military you do that like your asses, right.

00:27:24:09 - 00:27:25:17

Wayne Mulder

In a it's not going to end well.

00:27:26:02 - 00:27:42:18

Adam Haidary

Yeah. No, no, it's no, no you're going to be somewhere where you don't want to be for a long time. So, you know, again, that's that's kind of my way to debrief is is learn how to debrief first with but also knowing your knowledge and experience is limited. So it's it is okay to reach out and ask other people.

00:27:43:04 - 00:28:01:16

Wayne Mulder

It's perfect. I do want everyone to check it out of the Instagram page. It's police post. All one all together, all one word. Some of your insights have been noticed by some pretty big names, especially on some of these more high profile incidents. Did you not get into a conversation where maybe you were able to provide some insight to Joe Rogan?

00:28:02:06 - 00:28:31:19

Adam Haidary

Yeah. Yeah, I've I've spoken to Joe on multiple occasions. He's a huge fan of the page. You know, there is a there's a lot of people that I, again, have the privilege of speaking to, reached out to Joe initially after the the shooting in Atlanta, where the officer, the or the suspect of the officer's Taser and the charge at the officer, Wolf, I think it was his that killed her.

00:28:32:04 - 00:28:34:00

Wayne Mulder

Yeah. I can't remember on the name but yeah.

00:28:34:02 - 00:28:59:18

Adam Haidary

The incident and he engaged the subject and then I believe the subject passed and whenever he was talking about that, I just was like his approach to it was very just from a place of not having experience, not having any insight into why we have to arrest for DUIs. Right? Like why we can't just let them go. And that was a whole like it's like, well, Joe.

00:28:59:18 - 00:29:15:12

Adam Haidary

Yeah, like, sure, the criminal side, but the civil liability side is, you know, if you were to let him go back home and get back in a car and kill a family of four, that contact is still documented. And then it's like, well, he was obviously impaired and you let him go. Why? And then that goes back on him not doing his job.

00:29:15:12 - 00:29:38:05

Adam Haidary

Then I said this long text. He actually was very open. And even since then, you know, he's been asking me about a few incidents here and there, and I'm able to provide some insight. You know, obviously Texas was a big one and I was able to provide some insight there as well to him. But yeah, he's a he's a great dude, man.

00:29:38:16 - 00:29:51:06

Adam Haidary

He actually carries a lot of people say he doesn't like cops, which is completely inaccurate, hundred percent accurate. So Joe Rogan is definitely a fan of law enforcement. He knows necessity. He just wants to hold cops to extremely high standard.

00:29:51:14 - 00:29:56:13

Wayne Mulder

Which I think all cops want to do that. Which which we all should. Yes, we all absolutely should wait.

00:29:56:13 - 00:30:09:03

Adam Haidary

And like, you know, again, anything like Andy, have great guy, huge advocate for jujitsu in law enforcement, Mike Beltran. I don't know if you know who that is, but he's the I've heard the UFC ref with a big handlebar mustache.

00:30:09:04 - 00:30:09:15

Wayne Mulder

Okay.

00:30:09:18 - 00:30:25:08

Adam Haidary

Yeah, yeah. He's been a cop for 30 years. He's actually a full time police officer. People don't know that he does a UFC on the side. Yeah, he works for a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Office. Some of that he's he's a he's been a cop for 30 years.

00:30:26:13 - 00:30:30:13

Wayne Mulder

So that all he does is I've been doing this for three years and I'm not sure how you do both. But yes.

00:30:30:23 - 00:30:46:14

Adam Haidary

I mean, guys like him are are phenomenal, you know, huge reach. You know, again, there's been a number of people that I've I've had the pleasure of talking to that I can't really remember right now. But obviously, Joe Rogan and Andy are kind of the bigger ones that kind of stick out.

00:30:46:20 - 00:31:07:20

Wayne Mulder

Well, that's awesome. I think a couple of things that you mentioned I had. One is, is, yeah, a lot of these guys we have this weird thing and it's usually just in the social media circles, which I don't put a lot of stock in what, you know, the Twitter mob thinks, but there's a lot of kickback to. Oh, well, if you call out law enforcement for maybe they should have done something better or maybe they did something wrong.

00:31:08:03 - 00:31:24:15

Wayne Mulder

And as a law enforcement officer, you point that out and there's this kickback that, oh, well, you hate cops or you, you know, why are you doing this? So it's like, that's not true at all. We need to all be honest about, hey, we could have done this better. And what is the overall deficiencies here? Maybe it's a training issue, maybe it's a lack of equipment.

00:31:24:15 - 00:31:35:00

Wayne Mulder

Maybe, you know, maybe there are ancillary factors that need to be considered. Did you do a brief just a side note, did you do any kind of anything on the Uvalde tragedy?

00:31:35:08 - 00:31:37:01

Adam Haidary

I did. I did a few posts.

00:31:37:10 - 00:31:38:14

Wayne Mulder

I'm going to have to look at those.

00:31:38:24 - 00:31:57:12

Adam Haidary

Yeah. Yeah. You know, I. I am one to wait. I enjoy waiting. What a lot of people have an issue with that post now. Post right now do this. Do you remember that video a while back? You may not remember this entire story, but there was a video that was going viral of a deputy on a traffic stop.

00:31:57:12 - 00:32:17:13

Adam Haidary

He pulled pulled a car over full of some young gentleman. And one of the guys had a baggie in his pocket as clean, empty baggie that obviously had some residue in there, whatever. But he just took the baggie and he just threw it back in the car. Right. And the guy's like, I got your camera. And he's like, Cool, man.

00:32:17:13 - 00:32:36:22

Adam Haidary

I got you on camera, too. Like, I got you right here. And he's like, No, man, I saw you do that in the car. And then that like 15/2 clip just blew up everywhere. And all these pro-police pages were posting all this stuff about, oh, cops, he planted drugs, fires, ass, all this shit. And I'm like, wait a second.

00:32:37:02 - 00:32:53:20

Adam Haidary

Like, you think this dumb ass doesn't know he's got a body cam on? Like, I was like, let's just let's say I'm talking now. Some of these pages aren't run by actual cops or anybody with any anymore force and experience. So I take that as a grain of salt. But there were some that were posting that that I personally know.

00:32:54:11 - 00:33:14:13

Adam Haidary

And I was like, Come on, man. Like, wait, just, just wait. 48 hours before making a statement on that and then, of course, when the whole video came out, when the agency released the whole body cam footage, and the guy's like, Yeah, I got you here. Like, there's nothing in the back here. Like, he held it up. He's like, Yeah, I got out that guy's pocket, like, which is on his body cam, like the other officers body cam.

00:33:14:13 - 00:33:28:18

Adam Haidary

And it was like, See, guys, look, now this is, this is the problem is you postings for likes and shares because you know, it's going to go viral and you know it's going to. But that's not what's good. That's not that's not what gets you anywhere. You know, people ask me all the time, how did you grow this place to be so big?

00:33:28:18 - 00:33:49:06

Adam Haidary

Well, don't be wrong. A lot. It always helps. Like, don't be wrong. You can be wrong. So I'm and I'm and I am wrong. Like, I've I've I've been wrong before in certain situations. I've edited post. I have no problem being wrong, but I try not to be wrong. That's always the goal, right? Especially for likes and shares.

00:33:49:06 - 00:33:56:13

Adam Haidary

That's also one thing I've always realized. Do not do shit for likes and shares. It will that that will turn you into the person you don't want to be.

00:33:57:01 - 00:34:06:11

Wayne Mulder

Interesting. Yeah, very interesting. Well, yeah. And I mean, we all are going to get things wrong no matter how hard you try not to. And when you do, you amend your mindset and you admit to it.

00:34:06:17 - 00:34:07:05

Adam Haidary

And you move on.

00:34:07:10 - 00:34:09:00

Wayne Mulder

Exactly how complicated is this.

00:34:09:03 - 00:34:09:22

Adam Haidary

Not very difficult.

00:34:10:02 - 00:34:15:05

Wayne Mulder

No. So you alluded to two businesses. So as police post, one of them is that it's own company.

00:34:15:05 - 00:34:16:00

Adam Haidary

Or so mean.

00:34:16:00 - 00:34:16:24

Wayne Mulder

I hear about your businesses.

00:34:17:03 - 00:34:19:08

Adam Haidary

Yes, I make $0 off a police post.

00:34:19:11 - 00:34:19:20

Wayne Mulder

Okay.

00:34:19:20 - 00:34:46:02

Adam Haidary

A lot of people are like, no, man, you are killing it. No, I make if anything, I lose money. I'll police post real police post just an audience. Right. So it was it gave me the ability to then focus on certain issues that I wish they were seeing so as a as a training sergeant, just because I started one business as an active cop in a business that we just recently started about six months ago, I'll get to that later.

00:34:46:02 - 00:35:06:12

Adam Haidary

But the basic agle, you know, I was seeing an issue in law enforcement as I was doing it and why these cops like why are they not working out? Why are they all fat? What is like why are they all eating shit food? Like, what is going on here? Now, granted, I didn't have kids. I was a single guy, which yes, did give me a little bit more time when I got off shift to go.

00:35:06:12 - 00:35:08:09

Wayne Mulder

It helps, but it's not an excuse.

00:35:08:12 - 00:35:09:11

Adam Haidary

But it's not an excuse.

00:35:09:11 - 00:35:17:07

Wayne Mulder

One time I struggle. I'll be completely honest. My audience knows that I struggle with it and my weight has done this. Yes.

00:35:17:07 - 00:35:34:08

Adam Haidary

So and that's pretty normal, right? Like that's a that's like kind of a pre normal trend. And so what I ended up doing was I was tasked my captain tasked me with, you know, coming up with like a fitness standard, somewhat like a fitness program. I remember his exact wording, but I just heard fitness and you go do it.

00:35:34:08 - 00:35:45:21

Adam Haidary

And I was like, okay. So basically I kind of dove into the data, right? And a lot of people have have issues with data or studies and research and all this stuff. But again, I, I went to school.

00:35:45:24 - 00:35:55:20

Wayne Mulder

People give you you've said that before. So I got to ask real quick. Sorry to go down a rabbit trail. You get a kick back on data, like why would somebody have any way of providing data. I don't understand.

00:35:55:20 - 00:36:29:07

Adam Haidary

That. So data can be used as a weapon, right? So you can skew data to make it in your favor. Right? So but the way the data that I was using wasn't really skewing it, it wouldn't wouldn't make one's point better or worse. So mine was more of like worker's comp claim data based off of injuries as well as like research on particular movements or particular groups of people like you know, units within law enforcement or units within the first responder or even military field.

00:36:29:11 - 00:36:48:16

Adam Haidary

And then focusing on like a certain study, whether it'd be like anaerobic or rubbing activities, weightlifting, resistance, training, all that kind of stuff, and kind of see what those studies or even like resistance training with the accuracy of, you know, a SWOT operator or a SWOT copper, whatever they call themselves. Now, I can't keep track. They change every 5 minutes.

00:36:48:16 - 00:37:09:24

Adam Haidary

But, you know, I so I basically compiled all this and then I developed a very cheap, cost effective program, basically would probably be free for the agency. And I kind of presented it and at the time it was just kind of like not a priority. Like we got other things to do right now. Like, yes, thank you, but no thank you type deal.

00:37:10:08 - 00:37:27:13

Adam Haidary

Wow. So I was kind of like, man, it took me like to me like probably almost like a year, year and a half or so to kind of compile kind of everything to where I wanted it. I went through like a lot of research. What I ended up doing was basically writing a business plan and I'd.

00:37:27:18 - 00:37:28:08

Wayne Mulder

Even better.

00:37:28:08 - 00:37:47:20

Adam Haidary

Not even knowing it. Yeah, without even knowing it. And so then one of my best friends, who's a very successful physical therapist, took this to him and said, Hey, hey, man, let's go meet, you know, let's go meet for a burger. I just want to just want to run this thing by and see what you think he was like.

00:37:47:20 - 00:38:06:24

Adam Haidary

I kind of presented and he goes, Is anybody else doing something like this? It's like, well, these other people are doing fitness, right? You know, you know that stuff. But he is no, no, specifically this. And I said, no, not that I know of, because let's do it. Okay. So then we started, you know, please post was not that big at the time.

00:38:06:24 - 00:38:31:17

Adam Haidary

I wasn't I wasn't even half as big as what it is now. And we started off very small, just me and him. And he had he had like a PTA, so like a physical therapy assistant that was kind of helping us with some of the programing. And we started basically giving away a lot of information and selling in all my digital products to, you know, kind of to the audience.

00:38:31:17 - 00:38:48:21

Adam Haidary

At the time I was like, man, like, you know, I don't have to work. You know, I don't the work like extra jobs or any of that stuff I was able to make enough to I was, you know, couple hundred bucks and I was like, Man, this is great. This is this is amazing. And then it started as technology grew and we started kind of getting more capital, right?

00:38:48:21 - 00:39:17:07

Adam Haidary

Because it when you get more money, you're able to reinvest. So I started reinvesting a lot of that back into the company. To make a long story short, it started to grow relatively quickly, relatively fast, and I wasn't able to spend a lot of time, so I was probably, you know, was working 8 to 12 hours a day as a cop and then coming home and working 4 to 8 hours on my business and getting 2 to 4 hours of sleep every night for about six months, eight months.

00:39:17:10 - 00:39:34:21

Adam Haidary

And then I realized this is not healthy for any means. And then, of course, I was getting pressure from command staff. We had a command staff change and that was I kind of checked out after that one of the majors there and him and I did not see eye to eye. I don't know if we ever would. And so I was like, you know what?

00:39:35:03 - 00:39:54:23

Adam Haidary

And my business partner was telling me, take a chance, man. You can always go back, take a chance. Like, you know, this could change. You're you're such a mission driven person, you know, as many cars as possible. This is going to help more cops than you could ever imagine. And he's so far been 100% correct with that. But with that statement.

00:39:54:23 - 00:40:31:05

Adam Haidary

So I left in 2020 and. Yeah, and so since then right now if if so, effective finish training has helped over 22,000 law enforcement officers. We gave away $1,000,000 in AC training last year. It's awesome. Are going to do a million this year too. Giving away another million in training this year. And we have seven active cops on the team that are all over the country California, Florida, New York.

00:40:31:05 - 00:40:51:00

Adam Haidary

We're getting some one in Texas, Pennsylvania. So we have them here. We have, again, a team. It's not just me. It tried to sell our guys like again, I know every day that goes by my knowledge of the my knowledge of the profession and relevancy. Just go away, away, away, away, away. That's why we got to have active guys.

00:40:51:00 - 00:41:08:16

Adam Haidary

We have seven active guys that have shit ton of experience and that's just on the on the fitness side. So that was basically in a nutshell how it kind of got started. And I actually plan on doing an episode on how to start a business as a cop because I get a did I get that question? That's huge more than anything else.

00:41:08:21 - 00:41:10:06

Adam Haidary

And you should I think you should.

00:41:10:14 - 00:41:37:19

Wayne Mulder

I think you should do. In fact, that's something I talk about. In fact, that's exactly why I started this and something I've been a proponent of. And as the world has fallen apart, as you said it since 2020, I think it's even becoming more of something that more people are interested in. Of course, I do see where there's going to be a downside because your guys that are out starting businesses and stuff are also a lot of really good cops that theoretically should be in this career for another 13 years.

00:41:37:20 - 00:41:38:22

Wayne Mulder

Those that left at seven.

00:41:39:06 - 00:41:41:00

Adam Haidary

So yes.

00:41:41:11 - 00:41:41:21

Wayne Mulder

So I'm just.

00:41:41:21 - 00:41:42:14

Adam Haidary

Saying, man.

00:41:42:24 - 00:41:58:05

Wayne Mulder

These are the future command staff that aren't going to be there. And as we're seeing the manpower issues and the which is great for them. But I'm just saying, for an industry, it's a little concerning on what the future of law enforcement may look like as we're seeing more and more manpower issues across this country.

00:41:58:05 - 00:42:00:13

Adam Haidary

I agree. I agree, though.

00:42:01:10 - 00:42:22:17

Wayne Mulder

Just so the listeners know everything on that, it's effective that fitness is the website effect of that fitness and I will have that all linked up in the show notes. So you mentioned to businesses, so real quick on the effect of fitness training, just so the listeners can kind of expect or know what to expect there. So is it like live classes, peloton feeling things?

00:42:22:17 - 00:42:24:02

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, yeah. What do you got?

00:42:24:09 - 00:42:57:11

Adam Haidary

So, you know, being in the profession, having a lot of cops on the team really gives us a really deep insight into the profession, right? Whether it pertains to what you should be training, job specific movements, etc.. But that being said, the team is comprised again, we have multiple physical therapists on the on the team. We have a physiotherapy since every single one of our active cops has a straight A certified strength conditioning certification.

00:42:57:11 - 00:43:20:23

Adam Haidary

So they tend to be in a school on this. They're all absolute units. All right. So our head coach, Kelly, she is she is not a cop, but she owned a gym here in South Carolina specific for first responders. This has been her her livelihood for about 12 years. So she's done nothing but strength conditioning for first responders and military.

00:43:21:14 - 00:43:44:13

Adam Haidary

She's an absolute stud and she's extremely knowledgeable. Her continuing education is she's if I have a question about anything fitness nutrition related, I just ask her. So basically when you sign up for us, one, we offer two weeks for free. So sign up for two weeks if you don't like it canceled any time. So we want to be different, right?

00:43:44:13 - 00:44:11:07

Adam Haidary

Because then of course, you can you can Google fitness programs and tactical or whatever you want. Right. But we understand that time is is very important in this profession. Like you said, it's very difficult sometimes with kids and family to kind of get things done. So our approach is the minimal effective dose and it's just what what is the minimum amount of work that we can put in and get the maximum output that we can possibly get?

00:44:11:16 - 00:44:29:10

Adam Haidary

Right, because that's always a goal, right? If if I can spend one minute working out and achieve my goals, then I want to spend one minute. Why would I spend to why would I spend five if I can just do one? Right. So our workouts range between 45 to 60 minutes. Everything is laid out for you in a very easy to use app.

00:44:29:10 - 00:44:47:16

Adam Haidary

You can document all of your weights. There's even videos there to show you form points of performance that can show you form one of the biggest things that we really enjoys the community there's a there's basically like a like kind of like an active live feed that all the members can go and they can chat. You can even talk to the coach.

00:44:48:05 - 00:45:04:14

Adam Haidary

So if you have a question specifically about your form, you can actually upload a video of you deadlifting and one of the coaches will or one of physical therapist or coaches will go in there and give you kind of pointers of, hey, man, you know, drive through your hips kind of or whatever kind of pointers you want, right?

00:45:04:14 - 00:45:26:12

Adam Haidary

I kind of figuring that we also offer nutrition help, nutrition advice. You know, obviously it's a big thing. It's a big, big topic, big a big issue in law enforcement. So that kind of question a lot about how do I eat, when do I eat, how much do I eat? And to achieve whatever goals you are. So we have that as well.

00:45:26:12 - 00:45:50:02

Adam Haidary

We have nutrition specials on the team too. So we offer a lot. We offer multiple programs, mobility programs, tactical bodybuilding programs, push up pull up programs, bodyweight programs, no equipment programs. We just released a sandbag program and all this stuff's included. So you pay one price and you basically get everything that we offer in that price is 2995.

00:45:50:02 - 00:46:10:05

Adam Haidary

So for less than a dollar a day now, it sounds like one of those ASPCA commercials, but basically you get your own personal coach, and if you have an injury going on, you just send us an email and you'll get you'll have a 15 minute phone call with the physical therapist. And he can probably help you like just like a one on one phone call and he'll help you with whatever issues you're having.

00:46:10:05 - 00:46:34:08

Adam Haidary

Shoulders, knees, lower back seem to be the biggest issues we actually have. Rehab programs for those that are included. So you can do the workouts and then do the rehab programs after to build some resiliency in those those in those areas. So we offer a lot more than that, but all the information is on the website and we do have an agency program as well where let's see, we just signed a contract with Seattle Police Department for two years.

00:46:34:18 - 00:46:59:22

Adam Haidary

So they're going to be implementing our our curriculum agency. We're actually going there to do a three day workshop. So do travel to agencies and go do workshops. We can help evaluate your current fitness program or whatever, or we can help build on for you. She's a little more difficult because there's usually some red tape there with attorneys and unions and I good stuff.

00:46:59:22 - 00:47:07:12

Adam Haidary

But there's many issues that are that are super on board. So in a nutshell, guys, check out the website. There's a lot of information on there.

00:47:07:20 - 00:47:18:12

Wayne Mulder

Definitely. And in preparation for today, I checked it out as well. So effect of that fitness and it's a great site and you guys have a YouTube channel as well where you have some good tidbits of information for the effective fitness.

00:47:18:12 - 00:47:53:04

Adam Haidary

Yeah, we just started that. There's now there's not only much on there, we hope to kind of dove into YouTube realm again. We like to focus on one thing at one time and get really good at that one thing and then be able to develop it. Yeah, guys, we have we have some good stuff in the works. We are working on a an instructor certification that will basically allow you to teach our curriculum that is going to be post certified in multiple states so that you can implement that during in-service training, because I know that would be huge if you had a 30 minute block it in service of just nutrition.

00:47:53:07 - 00:48:02:17

Adam Haidary

And then this could help change change of culture, right? Because obviously you are what you eat, eat like shit. You're going to be shared basically. Yeah.

00:48:03:01 - 00:48:20:07

Wayne Mulder

No, it's very true. And again, very fortunate to be at a very forward thinking agency. We have someone on staff who does a lot of this, but yeah, it's there and we just have a new gym. Fact I just met with him the other day because I had some surgeries and stuff earlier this summer that have changed what I was doing.

00:48:20:16 - 00:48:41:13

Wayne Mulder

Yeah. And I had hired just something for the listeners. I had actually hired an online coach. I hadn't heard of the organization a couple of years ago, and he offered many of the things you're saying when it comes to, hey, am I doing this move right? Let me video it, send it to him. And that worked beautifully. So anyone who has any hesitation for what we can do now in the online environment, it's insane.

00:48:41:19 - 00:48:43:21

Wayne Mulder

Yeah. So this is great stuff.

00:48:44:04 - 00:49:02:01

Adam Haidary

Yeah. You know, again, it's, it's, I mean, our goal is to be a resource, right? And to be a cost effective because we don't want you to have to go anywhere else but Google. We want you to come to us. We have we have people who have been years and years. We have doctors on our team that are willing to talk to you for less than a dollar a day.

00:49:02:08 - 00:49:03:09

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, that's awesome.

00:49:03:24 - 00:49:04:04

Adam Haidary

I mean.

00:49:04:17 - 00:49:08:09

Wayne Mulder

You mentioned a second business. Adam, what is what you got going on there? I got to hear.

00:49:08:15 - 00:49:38:23

Adam Haidary

Yeah. So this is probably some that I, I think is the most I think they all go together, right? So we have FTE, then we have EFC. Okay. EFC is effective fitness combatives. So what that is, we call it is called EFC is how it all got started. Was I so obviously I train Brazilian jujitsu, I train martial arts, I do some striking stuff here and there.

00:49:38:23 - 00:50:03:05

Adam Haidary

I don't claim to be good. I claim to be decent. And, you know, I absolutely love it. I started training jiu jitsu and I'll kind of give it quick back stories. I was making a a guy had a wanted a child support warrant found like two, 3:00 in the morning on a on a public dock, just, you know, going out there and making my rounds.

00:50:03:05 - 00:50:25:23

Adam Haidary

You know, they, you know, this place has high traffic, a lot of drug use, whereas go kind of do my walking and so this guy and random whatever he was super cool first he had no issues give me his ID anything like that random child support warrant obviously either didn't know or didn't like it and I went to go put him in handcuffs and he started to kind of resist.

00:50:25:23 - 00:50:49:02

Adam Haidary

Not like not crazy, just kind of started like the whole, like, pull back thing. But I was on a dock, right? So like five feet wide, all of like metal wires on both sides. And I didn't know what to do. My mind went, You didn't train for this at the academy? Yeah, at all.

00:50:49:04 - 00:50:50:04

Wayne Mulder

We're going to go swimming.

00:50:50:14 - 00:51:09:22

Adam Haidary

Yeah, yeah. Like with all your shit on. And that could be bad. Luckily, I was able to verbal verbal judo him in handcuffs and everything was fine. He was again, nothing was crazy escalated. But my mind went like, well, I don't know to do like I just don't know what to do. Besides talk, I'm really good at talking and leveling with people.

00:51:09:22 - 00:51:49:10

Adam Haidary

So that was one of my saving grace is which side note social skills is very important for this job. Of being able to level people is also very important too. But that next day walk my ass to jujitsu school first day jiu jitsu class. I was a 16 year old kid who wrestled in high school was want to go into the Marine Corps decided he didn't want to kill me within a five minute round about don't know five or six times when I realize a 16 year old kid with just a little bit of wrestling experience in about two years of jujitsu could kill me as well.

00:51:49:10 - 00:52:09:01

Adam Haidary

It was very was very eye opening for me. Yeah, I was I was absolutely hooked at that point. Didn't care about belts, didn't care about promotions, didn't care about that. I wanted to acquire skills that that were going to hopefully I would never have to use them but, you know, saved my life if I needed to or saved the life of of someone else.

00:52:09:01 - 00:52:38:15

Adam Haidary

So I became a huge advocate for that. Fast forward six years now and I'm a I'm a purple belt under under Jay Wadsworth. So Jay is one of the co-founders of EFC. J is a second degree black belt under Julio Fernandez. I get that, right? Yes, hope so. Jay's a he's an active cop in New York, works for Jamestown Police Department.

00:52:38:15 - 00:52:57:24

Adam Haidary

She'd be retiring here soon. And I had an idea and I said, man, like, there's nothing out there. Kind of like what we're doing with UFC on the digital realm. You know, there's one other company out of that that kind of has a big name. I'm not going to say you guys can use your detective skills to figure it out.

00:52:57:24 - 00:53:20:03

Adam Haidary

I don't want to get sued, but but basically, you know, they're kind only ones in that in that space. Well, they also there was just a a lot lacking not just them, I think I think what they do is great. I'm not saying it's bad. I just think that there could be something better out there. So I got with Jay and I said, Hey, man, here's my idea.

00:53:20:03 - 00:53:36:23

Adam Haidary

I want to run it by you. And Jay at the time was working for another company, and I said, All right, I, I, I get that, but just hear me out. So we were in talks about three or four months. You kind of went back and forth because he's a he's a big loyalty guy. And I said, Hey, man, I want I want you do what's best for you and your family.

00:53:37:16 - 00:54:06:03

Adam Haidary

I said, But this is going to change your culture. This is what we're going to do is going to it's going to revolutionize law enforcement training. You guys okay in we've been in business for probably 150 days and we've already been in 20 agencies. Well, we've we've we've been sought after by some very large agencies. We just signed a contract, the Michigan State Police.

00:54:06:20 - 00:54:37:05

Adam Haidary

So they're going to be implementing our program agency wide here soon, doing an instructor course. They're spy and the kind of list goes on for our police department and Texas game and fish lord knows my age is of Florida, New Jersey, New York. We're actually going to be the NYPD Academy, NYPD, B.J. Academy next week. That's awesome. So this all kind of started just because it just needs it needs to be pushed more.

00:54:37:14 - 00:55:01:05

Adam Haidary

The the jujitsu, the wrestling based type of curriculum needs to be pushed more with the integration of weapons. And that's where a lot of people don't quite understand the difference. Yeah. Of, you know. Yes, yes. Jujitsu works. Yes. Wrestling works. But there are certain things and certain aspects of those to martial arts or sports that that don't translate over well to law enforcement.

00:55:01:05 - 00:55:16:15

Adam Haidary

And so having that law enforcement experience, that law enforcement background, is absolutely vital to the correct curriculum and the right techniques, concepts and principles that need to be implemented into each officer in order for them to be effective on the street.

00:55:17:09 - 00:55:24:20

Wayne Mulder

Is it created just for use in like in-service cycles or what? Oh, okay. So a part of it.

00:55:25:11 - 00:55:53:18

Adam Haidary

Yes, yes. Okay. So so, you know, we have instructor programs. We have two day programs of our instructor courses, four days, 40 hours. Right. So it's 10 hours each day. It's very physical class. You you will you will be you will be tested. We also have specialized courses like we've done, particularly like SWAT teams in the vehicle extraction, stuff like that, which are, you know, vehicle extractions is also kind of a bigger class that we teach.

00:55:54:03 - 00:56:15:20

Adam Haidary

A lot of people don't. You've seen it. I like to play tug of war with people and there's sometimes no need to do that. So yeah, you know, the in-service stuff, it's all about consistency, right? Because, you know, you should be training your or defensive tactics or sort of martial arts at least twice a week, at least minimum, if anything.

00:56:15:24 - 00:56:43:14

Adam Haidary

Twice a month. I'll take it. You're not going to be very good, but twice a week would kind of be ideal. But having the ability, the availability to to actually have someone teach you this stuff or do it correctly is what's also important, right? Because obviously you want to get good reps and you don't want to get bad reps or something in you know, we're in the process of launching another force is going to be a digital product, but this time we're actually building our own app for this.

00:56:43:24 - 00:57:08:15

Adam Haidary

Okay. And what this app is allowing us to do is going to be fully integrated with like a certification system. So you can take we're about to launch our three day user course, which is an instructor course online. The instructor course online will be coming. We do suggest I, I always say this online training is great as it pertains to defensive tactics training.

00:57:08:22 - 00:57:29:10

Adam Haidary

The in-person is going is going to always be better. I don't care what you say, but the three day use, of course, is going to allow you to then look at instructional material taught by J and then be able to then train it with a friend or a partner and you can even go through and hit certain modules, right?

00:57:29:15 - 00:57:55:06

Adam Haidary

Yeah. And again, the purpose of this is to take the person who has no jujitsu experience and make them an effective police officer. Right. So we make it very clear. It does does having prior training in a martial art or sport like wrestling help? Yes, absolutely. Oh, it's not going to hurt. So. Oh, yeah, for sure. I mean, in a class you can tell who trained and who doesn't train almost in the first minute.

00:57:55:23 - 00:58:17:04

Adam Haidary

Right. We always go through the class and I always tell people to kind of explain their experience because we like to pair more experienced people with less experienced people. And that really helps also prevent injury as well, because obviously more experience people are are going to know leverage better. They're going to know their own strength, you know, they're going to know where to put themselves and also not get hurt, too.

00:58:17:04 - 00:58:26:19

Adam Haidary

So, you know, again, this all kind of started just because we saw some needed to be better. And here we are.

00:58:27:15 - 00:58:37:22

Wayne Mulder

I love what I'm hearing and part of this is very timely because in I don't want to speak specifically, but let's just say so if you.

00:58:38:01 - 00:58:38:24

Adam Haidary

Medically speaking.

00:58:38:24 - 00:58:59:05

Wayne Mulder

Hypothetically speaking, okay, you go through an in-service cycle and they start bringing in a lot of the Brazilian jiu jitsu type techniques and stuff like, you know, guys supine, hands up, underarm, you know, how are you going to get those hands out, let's say agency agencies teaching these moves that are very effective to safely, you know, get the hands to get them in the handcuffs of so forth.

00:58:59:23 - 00:59:32:22

Wayne Mulder

The concern and I've heard you talk about it before with firearms and I've brought it up recently. It's like this is great training, but if the next time I see these moves is a year from now, it's worthless to me because I'm going to default back to what I, you know, used to do or whatever. So I love the training and it's very effective and we all know and it's going to have safer uses of force, safer, you know, it's safer for everybody involved and allows you to control that subject in a way that's going to allow for a good outcome.

00:59:33:05 - 00:59:53:22

Wayne Mulder

But if you're not training it, like you said, looking at it at least once, twice a week, so that was actually one of the suggestions that I had in this hypothetical scenario, was that if why don't we at a minimum put these on video so that at least you can look at them every week and say, hey, what, what, what we go over it is important to have and I'd be cursing your thoughts on this.

00:59:54:05 - 01:00:13:16

Wayne Mulder

It's important for officers to do it on their own. However, I would say it's more important for the agency to be on board because of the trainings coming through the agency. Then it's going to help you with liability. So in other words, if you're training BJ and you get involved in a use force incident and you use training from there rather than what came through the agency, you could end up in a pickle.

01:00:14:06 - 01:00:41:00

Adam Haidary

Correct? Yes. And the every state that we've ever taught in, in person, our curriculum is post certified or call certified. So whether you're in Texas, Michigan, Florida, South Georgia and basically most places in the country, they were certified right now in like 17 different states. Some states are harder than others get certified in. States are like you have a heartbeat, you're certified, you know, which is, you know, kind of scary.

01:00:41:00 - 01:01:01:04

Adam Haidary

But you got a really good point, too. So you know, we talk about we talk about our instructor course, which is probably our most popular or the issue that a lot of instructor courses have is, you know, if you've if those are listening, if you've ever attended a course, you know, you go for X amount of hours, they give you a certification.

01:01:01:04 - 01:01:17:23

Adam Haidary

And now your goal is to teach that course, you know, for the next two years and to you have to recertify. Yeah, think about that as you're getting information to a fire host and let's just say our course is a 40 hour course. You're getting a lot of information, a lot of it ties together. So it's not necessarily that hard to retain.

01:01:18:10 - 01:01:42:00

Adam Haidary

Right. But if you have no jujitsu experience, it makes it a little more difficult. However, we've kind of found a way around that to kind of help alleviate some of that stress, because you know as well as I do, you may learn a technique, but then it becomes the game telephone. Because if you're not if you're not consistently reviewing that information, you're going to miss small, small details.

01:01:42:00 - 01:02:02:22

Adam Haidary

You know, at the first in-service, the next in, you're going to miss maybe a little bit more. Or you might remember one than you forgot. You've got another one, right? So, you know, having that continuing education for those reps, that consistency is super important, right? So, so, so we've kind of found a way around that that we haven't really released yet, but we are very excited to to kind of make instructors.

01:02:02:22 - 01:02:29:11

Adam Haidary

Instructors again is probably the best way to put it because I know, as you point out as well as I do, I've had instructors, you know, I can go to class and like this guy is literally the epitome of a stamped instructor. Like you have your red shirt, you, you took the training, but yet you're not you don't even like you can't be a T instructor and not training jiu jitsu there's just it's just a great you can't look at me and go I'm a surgeon.

01:02:29:11 - 01:02:49:21

Adam Haidary

I'm like, okay, how much? You know, like how often do you train? Oh, I don't train. Right. So you go to a doctor, right? That doesn't go to any form of higher education ever. You're going to go that you've got to do it in med school and he's done. Yeah, right. Like I don't even like going to new doctors right now.

01:02:49:23 - 01:02:50:22

Wayne Mulder

I'm with you.

01:02:50:22 - 01:03:22:12

Adam Haidary

Yeah. I want that surgeon that's done this thing 30,000 times. Not the one that just did it three times to graduate med school. Like, no offense to those guys. You're super smart, super brilliant. But That's kind of the that's kind of the analogy that we're kind of going with here. So, you know, having that kind of education and getting your agency on board, which luckily a lot of agencies, a lot of command staff, Kadri, are have a rank in jiu jitsu or, hey, you know, do have that jujitsu training, which is which is which will change your culture?

01:03:22:22 - 01:03:38:02

Wayne Mulder

It absolutely will. And I love what I'm seeing and I love the conversation conversations that I'm having with people such as yourself and what I'm seeing for the future. So the information on the EFC that will also be found out effective that fitness, is that correct?

01:03:38:13 - 01:03:42:05

Adam Haidary

Negative. So that's going to be f combatives dot com.

01:03:42:14 - 01:03:43:13

Wayne Mulder

E f communities.

01:03:43:20 - 01:04:04:16

Adam Haidary

Yes. And we have all of our courses listed there. We have courses maybe like ten or 12 courses that are active right now. So I know we have one in Virginia, Florida, Texas, New Jersey coming up, New York, California. I mean, all over really. Again, we do have multiple this adults thing, too is J's not the only instructor.

01:04:04:16 - 01:04:29:19

Adam Haidary

We have 15 other instructors. Well, that works well. It's EFC and they're all everything. One of our instructors is either active or former law enforcement. I would probably say 99% of our instructors have some type of purple or higher in Brazilian jiu jitsu. The majority are black belts. Rob Huggins is a fifth degree black belt, which means he's been a black belt for 15 years.

01:04:29:19 - 01:04:51:18

Adam Haidary

He's got 27 years of law enforcement experience in the do. Looks like he didn't even look that old absolute savage he owned his own school New York great Jesus same way these guys are these guys are absolute. And I say like, yeah, sure. Like you can have a black belt. Black belt. But these guys are like they compete, they are high level black belts.

01:04:51:18 - 01:05:14:24

Adam Haidary

I've got to roll AJ multiple times. And again, I've been training for six years. I probably have £20 on Jay and Jay brings it all of it and it's, it's, it's, it's incredible to see him work truly even to see his body cam footage, which hopefully we'll be releasing here once he retires. We go. We got some really good body cam footage of Jay doing his stuff at work.

01:05:14:24 - 01:05:37:11

Adam Haidary

And man, these techniques, I mean, it's people are in handcuffs within 15 seconds of him getting his hands on them, which is and fully resisting. Right. So yeah. So like, you know, for people to say or going for weapons, which is which is absolute incredible. Jay's just he's a unicorn man and you should definitely have on your podcast, he can definitely bring some more insight to you as well.

01:05:38:14 - 01:05:59:00

Adam Haidary

I get you the hook up there for sure. He just he just actually did another podcast out. You said tac ops in D.C. and in Nashville maybe he was a he's not there as well. But yeah, we're very lucky to have him and guys like Rob and Henry, not super great instructors. Yeah, man, we we've got to get you on the program.

01:05:59:00 - 01:06:20:17

Adam Haidary

It's your thoughts because we are going to be releasing it to a few other people prior to launching it, too, to kind of get some opinions on more of like the user interface stuff as opposed to the kind of the content of course. But and it's we are very excited to, to kind of move for this. And like the best part is it's going to be super cost effective.

01:06:21:05 - 01:06:21:13

Adam Haidary

Okay.

01:06:22:08 - 01:06:23:17

Wayne Mulder

I love what I'm hearing. This is great.

01:06:23:17 - 01:06:38:15

Adam Haidary

Yeah, man, do me again. We talk about defunding the police, right? Yeah. Cops make any money, man. Like I was a cop in the south South Carolina. I started out, like, 29 a year. Yeah, right. Which is like, absolutely nothing. Right. So, you know, I was.

01:06:38:16 - 01:06:42:15

Wayne Mulder

30 when I started as well. I think we're under 30 is and.

01:06:43:02 - 01:07:06:01

Adam Haidary

You know, it's it's absolutely terrible, you know, but I was still able to say that I would you said and one class a year if not to please posted help with that I was able to get in some classes for free just by posting. So that kind of did have its perks. But you know, I mean, man, like just being able to attend these classes and having these life skills, you know, because jujitsu is a life skill.

01:07:06:20 - 01:07:37:17

Adam Haidary

I, I personally believe that controlling, physically controlling another human is a life skill. It's not it's not like a luxury. It's not like a it's a like you have to have that skill, especially as a cop. Yeah. Because it is your job. Yeah. And man, it's, it's just very frustrating to know that there is a resource or, you know, somewhat of a solution to a much bigger problem, you know, and and again, we're here to change your culture.

01:07:37:17 - 01:07:58:19

Adam Haidary

That's kind of my goal with with this company. We are we're a both companies are mission driven first goal like we hire and fire people based off of our mission and our core values and beliefs. Fuel Blue Angel what we believe. Then you may not be a great person, but you're not going to fit in with us because we're here to change a culture and be the best resource for cops available.

01:07:59:02 - 01:08:01:20

Wayne Mulder

Is that your mission statement to change the culture or what is your mission?

01:08:01:20 - 01:08:05:11

Adam Haidary

Our mission statement is to provide. And do you put a spot here?

01:08:05:18 - 01:08:07:08

Wayne Mulder

No. Sorry to do it to you.

01:08:07:08 - 01:08:33:03

Adam Haidary

That's okay. That's good. Basically, it's it's you know, you know, our goal is to provide resources and training through our science driven approach to fitness and combatives. Right. So, you know, we use real world experience. We use data, we use science and research the latest and greatest. And we keep updating that as the research change. As the new data comes in, we start to add new techniques or develop new concepts, develop new gear is made.

01:08:33:03 - 01:09:00:08

Adam Haidary

Tactics and approach has to change. And a lot of people have been doing the same shit for the past ten years. Even if this jujitsu related, they've been doing the same shit for ten years. Shit's changed laws of change. Use of force of change. One thing that we also hit on a lot, which a lot of people watch, a lot of combatives or you know law enforcement jujitsu companies don't do is we also focus on use of force documentation and courtroom testimony okay which a lot of guys say, oh, man, they're cool.

01:09:00:08 - 01:09:12:05

Adam Haidary

Great you can control the best person in the world but you don't document that shit, right? Your ass can still be in a sling. Right. So that's also another topic we cover within our training as well, which is super important.

01:09:12:15 - 01:09:13:08

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, it's huge.

01:09:13:17 - 01:09:35:02

Adam Haidary

Yes. Don't forget the boring shit guys. That paperwork shit can also get you fired and yes, in and in a in a shit ton of trouble. So That's also our approach to that as well, man. It's it's super cool to be able to do this. I'm very blessed. I'm very lucky. And I do appreciate everybody's support. I know my team, our team appreciates it, I think.

01:09:35:15 - 01:09:44:07

Adam Haidary

And again, we got in total between the both companies like almost 30 people on the team, which is super crazy to say because it just started off with me and a guy.

01:09:45:06 - 01:09:46:16

Wayne Mulder

I'm happy for you. That's awesome. Out of.

01:09:46:17 - 01:10:02:03

Adam Haidary

Him. Do work, bro. Like people. People like oh man, you all because of this? Yeah. Do you know how much I fucking work? I don't. I when I left law enforcement, I, I work way more now, so I'm sure 80 hours a week probably.

01:10:02:03 - 01:10:05:04

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, I have no doubt about. Oh, I was great.

01:10:05:09 - 01:10:06:22

Adam Haidary

I love it. I wouldn't change it.

01:10:07:19 - 01:10:10:05

Wayne Mulder

Well yeah it because it's different and it's what you're passionate about.

01:10:10:07 - 01:10:28:02

Adam Haidary

So that yeah. I mean it's difference to my wife we definitely change it, but I would definitely not change it, you know. But no, man, it's, it's, it's great. And I hope to see everybody. There are some courses, you know, and some classes. Check out the online stuff. You know, we have we have great customer support. Please reach out.

01:10:28:02 - 01:10:50:22

Adam Haidary

We reach every single day on the fact of finished training and effective, but it's combative. So if you've a question about gear or fitness or whatever you don't, you have to be a member. Choose a DM like we give away a lot of free shit to techniques blog. We write a blog once, once every two weeks. We free programs free nutrition, help, how to calculate macros.

01:10:50:22 - 01:10:55:13

Adam Haidary

All that stuff's free guys. So much free information we give out because we want want you guys to use it.

01:10:56:00 - 01:10:56:19

Wayne Mulder

Yeah, that's awesome.

01:10:57:04 - 01:10:59:12

Adam Haidary

And so yeah. And he and we can help her here.

01:11:00:08 - 01:11:14:20

Wayne Mulder

Sounds good. I'll make sure I get all that linked up for every one effect of that fitness. Before I let you go, though, Adam, I got to ask you one more question. We didn't even get into deer hunting. Had to. I was going to talk about that. But this may be a quick. We're good. Let's do it. That may be all your conversation.

01:11:15:00 - 01:11:16:01

Adam Haidary

Yeah. Hell, yeah.

01:11:17:12 - 01:11:22:13

Wayne Mulder

I do have to quickly ask you pretty much your son in South Carolina then, or do you make any trips anywhere?

01:11:23:01 - 01:11:27:06

Adam Haidary

Predominantly hunted South Carolina? I did. I used to fish a lot in Florida.

01:11:27:21 - 01:11:29:07

Wayne Mulder

Okay Salt.

01:11:29:08 - 01:11:50:12

Adam Haidary

Lake. Yeah. Oh, yeah. Also, I'm in Charleston, so. Yeah, we're all I'm all saltwater in sometimes off shore. I used to if if it's a big enough boat, I'll go offshore. But yeah, we do a lot of stuff here, mostly deer hunt and turkey hunt. I'm not a I'm not a big bird guy, not a dove. I'm not a waterfowl guy.

01:11:50:12 - 01:11:57:09

Adam Haidary

I'm not a marshland guy. I'm just I just like deer lakes behind deer hunt. That's it. Or big game, I guess you.

01:11:57:09 - 01:12:00:17

Wayne Mulder

Could say in a really, really old bow hunting.

01:12:00:17 - 01:12:14:07

Adam Haidary

Right? Mostly bow hunting. Yeah. I so when I was in college, you know, obviously I actually used to live on a farm in college. So in order to eat cost effectively, it was whatever was within 400 yards.

01:12:15:18 - 01:12:16:04

Wayne Mulder

I love it.

01:12:16:14 - 01:12:35:06

Adam Haidary

Yeah. And you know that was the that was always the best bet there really. And bow hunting. I got back into it as I you know, sort of making money I guess I could, you know, afford actual food in there. I absolutely love it. There's nothing there's nothing I would rather do more than to be in a a tree.

01:12:35:06 - 01:12:40:10

Adam Haidary

And it's 30 degrees out in the morning. I absolutely, absolutely love that. So.

01:12:40:18 - 01:12:43:19

Wayne Mulder

Yeah. Oh, I'm with you. I'm from northern Indiana myself. In fact.

01:12:44:01 - 01:12:44:23

Adam Haidary

You got big deer up there.

01:12:45:03 - 01:12:50:24

Wayne Mulder

I was going to say, you get all the cornfields that right up there by the Michigan border with the apple orchards. You get some monsters.

01:12:51:00 - 01:12:57:21

Adam Haidary

Oh, man. You got something? Yeah, because I, I, I went to South Bend when I, when I was in seventh grade, went to go visit Notre Dame.

01:12:58:02 - 01:13:01:11

Wayne Mulder

Okay. I was gonna say, why would you go to. I forgot about. No. Yeah. Give you that.

01:13:01:14 - 01:13:19:18

Adam Haidary

I was, it was like a, like a school trip and we went to visit the campus and it was in January. Oh yeah. And it was man, I'm going to come from South Carolina since girls. I mean, it's just I don't know what to expect for me and it was actually it was was pretty cold went in Michigan a little bit.

01:13:20:12 - 01:13:21:15

Adam Haidary

This is not too far.

01:13:22:10 - 01:13:23:02

Wayne Mulder

No, not at all.

01:13:23:09 - 01:13:30:09

Adam Haidary

Yeah. I mean, it was a it was very eye opening on my first trip up north then. So it was a Yeah. Cold.

01:13:30:09 - 01:13:45:23

Wayne Mulder

I love it. We'll have to talk more about that some other time. Any time. Well, let me ask you my one question. I ask everybody given a lot of great advice, but before I let you go, what is the one take away the one thing that law enforcement officers can do that's going to make a difference in their personal lives?

01:13:45:23 - 01:14:15:08

Adam Haidary

Value your time. And what I mean by that is this job is a job? And what I mean is it's the best job in the world, hands down, the best job in the world. But if you have time to spend with your family, take that time. You have time to spend with your kids. Take that time, your time if you wanna start a business, do it the right way.

01:14:15:09 - 01:14:54:22

Adam Haidary

Now your time, reach out to people. That's the biggest. It's not even the money. Because you can get money. You can make money may come goes by time every second that you don't use is is just going away. And so I really want you to it that's that's the one thing now your time whether that's in your recovery like you're you know you're just you're trying to decompress w that time get some sunlight try to prioritize sleep just value your time and that's and that's I actually struggle with that a lot and I'm I'm also learning so if you want to learn learn with me through my journey of trying to value time, put the

01:14:54:22 - 01:15:15:18

Adam Haidary

fucking phone down, get off Instagram, spend time with your kids, put on some music, dance around. I can be yourself, be happy because it's profession. Just like I said, the biggest threat to law enforcement is law enforcement itself. And this job can get you sucked in. Don't let it. Don't let it just. You're going to be a better cop if you don't.

01:15:16:16 - 01:15:24:00

Wayne Mulder

That's such great advice. Well, thank you, Adam. I really appreciate it. Which is we've mentioned several I have everything linked up. What is best way for people to connect with you?

01:15:24:10 - 01:15:47:19

Adam Haidary

Okay, connect with me. You can you can try to DM me on police posts. I try to answer as many as I can. I get about 100 or 150 a day. I do have somebody help me run that page now because that page is an absolute monster. Ryan. He's a he's a cop out of Florida early. But again, if you have any questions, we check every dime on effective fitness training and effective fitness combatives.

01:15:48:01 - 01:16:05:09

Adam Haidary

So please feel free. We do have we do have active cops that do check both pages. So if you have any questions about law enforcement or gear or just whatever and if it's, you know, you guys want me be on your podcast, a store goes on to do some training. Send us a send us an email, send us a dilemma.

01:16:05:09 - 01:16:17:15

Adam Haidary

We can get you to the appropriate contact there. So I really appreciate your time, man. This this is absolutely awesome and I definitely have to get Jay on your podcast. I think you could really definitely pick his brain because I mean, I can talk.

01:16:17:24 - 01:16:21:04

Wayne Mulder

I'm looking forward to it. Well, thank you, Adam. Thank you so much for coming on.

01:16:21:04 - 01:16:25:13

Adam Haidary

Thank you.

01:16:25:13 - 01:16:42:09

Wayne Mulder
